Tropical Jazz

Tropical Jazz is a collage of colors, textures, and patterns that combine to create the imagery of a tropical paradise. Learn a new marker technique for adding color and depth to the canvas, and then stitch a few new openwork patterns with Sea Grass and Soy Luster, to add even more texture. Braids stitched with sequins, Stef Francis' hand-dyed slubbed silk and crinkled rayon, plus several Valdani cottons are all used here with interesting and unique results. Resin and other beads are scattered throughout the design. There will be a demo in class on painting the resin beads. You'll have the option to try the technique in class, but hand painted beads are included in your kit. The canvas comes to you with the design already outlined and the edges taped and ready for stitching. Design Size: 8" X 13".
