More Finer Points of Finishing

In this class students will continue to expand their repertoire of finishing techniques by making a set project that features hands-on techniques not previously covered in Parts I and II, plus expanded text covering these techniques. The project is a new set of accessories based on a design theme of quilt stars stitched on linen in primitive colors. The set includes a lined rectangular box, a small case with needle page and scissors pocket, a sandwich pinkeep, a tape measure pocket and a scissors fob. The finishing techniques covered are: Folded book finish with slipstitch join, Sandwich pinkeep, Lining a rectangular/square box, Scissors fob (laced backstitch), Necessity pocket (machine sewing).
Pre-stitching is required; charts, linen and floss will be mailed as early as possible.

Kit includes custom hand-dyed 30 ct linen, Crescent Colours cotton floss, USA box (other states available), all finishing and lining materials for box and the set of smalls, instructions and mailing costs.
